How We Turn a Pet Photo into a CritterCute Portrait
One of the coolest things about CritterCute custom portraits is that they start with something simple: a photo. But between that snapshot and the final illustration, there’s a lot of care, creativity, and—yes—a little AI magic.
To show you how it all works, let’s take a look at two of my favorite recent subjects: Finn and Maverick.

The first step is to study the photos carefully. I look at posture, expression, eye shape, and little things—like how their ears sit or how their tails curl when they’re happy. These details help me bring out their personality in the portrait.
